Classy Welcomes Rebecca Gregory Segovia as Head of Marketing
Rebecca (Becca) Gregory Segovia has been named Head of Marketing at Classy, an affiliate of GoFundMe that creates meaningful connections through giving by empowering nonprofits to take advantage of every opportunity to connect with donors and build lasting relationships.
Becca comes with two decades of leadership experience in marketing and fundraising, leveraging early technologies available to nonprofit organizations to help them reach their full potential. She will be responsible for leading Classy’s marketing organization to help nonprofits reach more donors while unlocking generosity across communities and generations to drive meaningful impact.
Becca will join the company’s executive team, reporting to and working closely with Classy President and GoFundMe COO, Soraya Alexander.
“We have been long admirers of Becca’s work in the nonprofit sector, and we are thrilled to have her officially join the Classy team,” said Soraya Alexander, Classy President. “Her deep expertise in the space and her clarity and creativity on our big vision to change the future of philanthropy alongside GoFundMe will be essential as we deliver best-in-class products to our thousands of customers.”
For over a decade, Becca served as Executive Vice President at Pursuant, leading diverse functions across client services, marketing, and sales to enhance nonprofit experiences, drive donor value, and foster organizational expansion. In 2019, Becca assumed the role of Executive Vice President and General Manager for Pursant’s GivingDNA, a cutting-edge platform focusing on wealth profiling and donor engagement. Here, she leveraged data insights to enable nonprofits to see stories in their data, cultivate donor loyalty, and increase donations. Prior to this, Becca served as Executive Vice President at TouchPoint Software, where she helped to establish brand positioning and sales.
“GoFundMe and Classy have both provided people and nonprofits with the ultimate power to do good. Whether it is a first-time donor, a community fundraising for a family in need, or an individual committing to recurring donations, each progression requires intentional engagement,” said Becca Segovia. “I am humbled and honored to join Classy in their committed mission to help shape the philanthropic journey for each user on each platform.”
Becca joins the Classy and GoFundMe team during a period of sustained momentum. Last year, GoFundMe announced its acquisition of Classy, the leading nonprofit fundraising software company. The acquisition creates a global leader in modern giving across B2C and B2B, unlocking new opportunities to service the nearly $500 billion U.S. philanthropic market and reach more people and organizations across the world. Together, the companies have helped both individuals and nonprofits raise more than $25 billion since 2010.
