Wildfires continue to torch Southern California, having blazed through almost 160,000 acres this week and forcing nearly 200,000 people to evacuate their homes.

The president declared an emergency in California and ordered the Department of Homeland Security and Federal Emergency Management Agency to support relief efforts in Los Angeles, Riverside, San Diego, Santa Barbara, and Ventura counties.
