Our Year-End Appeal

Continuing on the success of our "100 Days of ARTS" campaign, we are keeping this page open for our Year-End Appeal through December 31st.

Happy Holidays!

In 2012, the ARTS Center in National City opened. From an office in Liberty Station to a 20,000 square foot building in Kimball Park, the move marked a big change and a milestone for the organization. Now, 10 years later, we’re launching this year’s $50,000 campaign with that milestone in mind – we’re asking you to support high-quality arts education and healing-centered support services for youth in the South Bay.

In the coming year, you will see:

  • The expansion of our “ARTS @ Work” high school internship program through investments in equipment and technology in our Maker Workshop
  • The creation of inspiring new works of public art, in parks and schools, created by local youth in our Community ARTS Teens programming
  • The growth of our media arts and music programs in our Digital Media Lab and the beautifully renovated music room and recording studio
  • The renovation of our outdoor learning and performing space, to include lighting, audio/video installation, and amenities – with the beautiful setting under the tall trees of Kimball Park
  • The activation of the ARTS Gallery — exhibitions, workshops, and community events showcasing youth artists, teaching artists, and local artists from our binational region.

Once upon a time the place ARTS calls home was the National City Public Library.

The walls, rooms, and floors here certainly have stories to tell! With this campaign, our goal is to lift up the new stories of youth, family, partners, and the community as a whole, as we walk into our new chapter together.

We’re so excited for the next ten years!
