2024 TCS NYC Marathon

A Foundation Building Strength (AFBS) is proud to be selected as an official charity partner of the TCS New York City Marathon on November 3, 2024. Five individuals will run the NYC Marathon on behalf of Team AFBS.

Each Team AFBS member will raise a minimum of $3,000 in support of AFBS and Nemaline Myopathy research.

The mission of AFBS is to find treatments for Nemaline Myopathy (NM). NM is a group of neuromuscular disorders that cause muscle weakness of varying severity. Many people with NM can't breathe, swallow, speak, or walk on their own. It is considered one of the most severe congenital muscle conditions. AFBS is working diligently to fund researchers around the world, making great strides toward treatments.
