On Your Mark, Get Set...Run, Walk, or Roll to Celebrate
Ability, Inclusivity, and the Power of Community!
Lavelle School for the Blind is excited to announce its 5th annual MOD Marathon - a chance for our students, staff, and community supporters to come together to celebrate that everyone of every ability has inherent value and deserves the opportunity to excel despite whatever challenges we each face.
Programming leading up to marathon day provides students with visual impairments and other disabilities the opportunity to learn about recreation and leisure activities, set goals, and understand the benefits of leading healthy, active lives.
The "big day" day begins with a cheerful pep rally before pairing up to make laps around the block and the school track, and ends with a thrilling finish line celebration before a dining hall pizza party.
