About AFTD

The Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration (AFTD) is a national nonprofit working to improve the quality of life of people affected by Frontotemporal Degeneration (FTD) and drive research for a cure.

About FTD

FTD is the most common dementia for people under 60: bringing progressive changes in behavior and personality, language and/or movement, and loss of function. Currently, there are no treatments and there is no cure.

How You Can Help

The AFTD-Team has raised more than $6 million since its inception in 2009. Also during that timeframe, more than 80 percent of AFTD’s annual expenses went towards program efforts relating to our mission areas: research, support, education, awareness and advocacy.

Our vision is to live in a world with compassionate care, effective support, and a future free of FTD. With your help, determination and commitment, we can bring that closer to reality. Your story has the power to raise awareness, and bring help and hope to others.

Together we can spread awareness, raise funds to support AFTD’s mission and ultimately #EndFTD. For more information, email fundraising@theaftd.org.

Independent Event $1,000

Independent Events are a great way to raise awareness and funds, year round. Do you have an idea that’s not covered by one of our three branded campaigns? AFTD supports community members by helping them plan and execute successful events from their own imaginations. Past independent events have included golf tournaments, races, product sales and many more.
