Running to raise funds for the Del Mar Academy Scholarship Program
Why are we running?
The Scholarship Program provides tuition, resources, and support for local Nosara children and youth to pursue education. Currently we provide scholarships for 25 students to attend Del Mar Academy. Over time our goal is to increase the number of scholarship students to 40, or 20% of each classroom from Grades 5-12.
The Scholarship Program at Del Mar Academy offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for a child to receive a high-quality, bilingual education that may lead to college and a professional career. This shift in one family member receiving a quality education has a ripple effect, creating a passion for education for future generations.
El Programa de Becas proporciona la matrícula, los recursos y el apoyo a los niños y jóvenes de Nosara para continuar su educación. Actualmente proporcionamos becas completas y parciales para 25 estudiantes para asistir a Del Mar Academy.
El Programa de Becas en Del Mar Academy ofrece una oportunidad única en la vida para que un niño reciba una educación bilingüe de alta calidad que le llevará a la universidad y, un día no muy lejano, a una carrera profesional. Este cambio en un miembro de la familia que recibe una educación de calidad tiene un efecto dominó, creando una pasión por la educación para las generaciones futuras.
