About the Campaign

Boarding for Breast Cancer ( B4BC.ORG) and Make Good Agency want to send Kelly Etsell on the snowboard trip of a lifetime to the infamous Baldface Lodge in British Columbia, Canada. In fact, we are working towards sending two other breast cancer thrivers to join her for 4 days of epic powder!


Baldface Lodge is by far one of the best mountain powder experiences that Canada has to offer. Founded by Jeff and Paula Pensiero, this backcountry lodge has a magical vibe that calls to just about every snowboarder we’ve met and then some! We all know what the fresh outdoors and frozen face shots can do for the soul -with original investors like Craig Kelly + Dave Grohl, and snow cat sing alongs ranging from Beyonce’ to Bohemian Rhapsody- this place spells F-U-N.


Kelly’s Story:

In 2016  at 34 years old and shortly after the birth of her second child, Kelly Etsell was diagnosed with a HER/2 Positive, Hormone negative, Stage 4 Metastatic Inflammatory Breast Cancer (IBC). Today, although technically still living with cancer, Kelly is thriving to the best of her ability. Daily tests, scans, weekly radiation and chemo will not get in her way of cheerfully and honestly raising two beautiful little ones, and seeing everything for what it is: simply beautiful. As former Canadian ROXY/Quiksilver Marketing Director, she rips on her snowboard, and a Baldface trip would be an absolute dream come true. Kelly feels so connected to the mountains and snowboarding brings her such a sense of peace and joy.

Beyond their year round Education and Outreach, B4BC specializes in outdoor medicine with their Chasing Sunshine Wellness Retreats.
“The outdoors have always been my one of my ‘doctors,’ and I consider the mountains therapy for the soul. Our goal is to support as many (young) women we can yearly to get outdoors, connect with others traveling a similar health path, and share the healing magic of nature. Our goal is to raise $10k by March 1, 2019 and on April 1-4 we will be sending Kelly + two additional ladies dealing with breast cancer on a powder journey of a lifetime to join Women’s Week 2019 at Baldface Lodge.
