CLASS OF 2030

CURRENT GRADE: 4 

The fourth graders are a class bursting with personality and energy. You can't enter the room without endless hugs, high fives, and 'look, miss!' for a prized toy, lost tooth, or new notebook.   

The group of first graders are the most inquisitive and quick-witted kids you've ever met. They constantly are making people laugh, and impressing with their progress. Many of them entered first grade not knowing how to write their name, and now are learning to read in both English and Spanish. They love dancing along to phonics songs. They love reading time -- where we say and repeat a small passage and answer questions, and it's so exciting for them to begin to use context clues and answer questions in English.    

The fourth graders have shown me what it truly means to love to learn, and be fearless of making mistakes to learn. These kids may be young, but they have so much drive to do well and succeed.  Watching them grow as students and little people has been so rewarding.
