Clean Water For Liberia has raised $3,170 out of their goal of $5,000
More help is needed
The Waterbearers and our Ambassadors are committed to a long term vision in Liberia, West Africa. You can be part of the experience by either donating for filters and/or accompanying us on our future journeys. A $50 donation provides 100 people with clean water access for up to ten years!
We currently have three life-saving and empowering ongoing clean water initiatives in Liberia.
West Point with the More Than Me Academy. This is Liberia's first all girls school founded by Time Magazine's Person of the Year (2014) Katie Meyler. The girls and staff of the school will be empowered with training and provided with filters, one per girl/family, and taught how to share with 100 or more people in their community. West Point is the largest slum area in Liberia with nearly 100,000 residents.
Becky School in Dolo Town is our first official WATERBEARER SCHOOL AMBASSADOR Program. The staff and students first received filters in 2014 and they requested a way to bring clean water to others in need. Waterbearer Audrey Kissik of Idaho, US, is leading the charge by returning with more filters and training.
Grand Bassa Rural Distribution. In February 2017 we provided filters to two villages totaling nearly 1000 people. There are thousands of families awaiting our return! The goal is 50 more filters by next year.
Please share this page with your family and friends as your involvement is crucial to our success to get clean water to urban and rural areas of Liberia.
Thank you for your help.
