Climb the Cascades has raised $3,017 out of their goal of $3,000
Let's Raise Some Money!
With your donation, you'll receive a special Cascades-inspired sticker to remind you that adventure is always out there.
With your donation, you'll receive a recording of a "Day Hiker's First Aid" presentation by Angie, a certified first aid instructor.
With your donation, you'll receive a donors-only invitation to a friends and family gathering this September in the Columbia River Gorge (OR + WA). This day and night of relaxed backpacking will celebrate the completion of Angie's Adventure Fundraiser. This isn't a "guided trip" (you'll need your own gear, transportation and associated costs); Angie will facilitate the experience with fun activities, an " alpine gourmet" meal plan and storytelling.
About the Campaign
Ambassador Angie has exciting adventures in store between April and August 2022. She will summit towering Cascades volcanoes across Oregon and Washington. Angie’s vision to challenge herself in staggeringly beautiful places is matched by her hope to bring you all along the journey of preparing for these difficult endeavors in a collaborative, joy-centered way. Join us in supporting Angie as she climbs her way through the outdoors while fundraising for The Cairn Project.
100% of revenue from this fundraiser will be channeled into The Cairn Project's grants program, offering funding to local groups around the country that are connecting girls and gender expansive youth to opportunities to learn in outdoor spaces. Learn more here.
The Cairn Project acknowledges that we, as settlers past and present, are not the original stewards of the land we occupy and recreate on. Land Acknowledgements are a formal remembrance of the original stewards of the land and sea and their connections to them. They are a simple and meaningful way of showing respect and taking a step toward correcting the stories and practices that continue to erase Indigenous people's history and culture.
Learn more: An in-depth exploration into Land Acknowledgements and find your local Native or Indigenous people here (https://native-land.ca/), or learn about reframing land acknowledgments from Dr. Len Necefer here (https://www.outsideonline.com/outdoor-adventure/exploration-survival/indigenous-land-acknowledgments/). Written in partnership with Song Seto, a TCP 2022 Ambassador.
Thanks to Lowa for their support Angie's campaign!
