Behind every production at The Tank, there is a mountain of paperwork, piles of discarded drafts of scripts, and preliminary sketches of sets, lights and costume designs. About the Campaign
The Tank is a vessel, a space, a framework.
Since our founding, we have been defined by who and what has populated our spaces: tens of thousands of artists, hundreds of thousands of audience members, and more joy, fury, music, chaos, disco balls, and creation than we could begin to number.
The physical Tank might be vacant - but our community, conversations, and sense of artistry continue to overflow in digital forms. CyberTank, our virtual gathering space, has already shared the work of 2,101 artists (and counting!) in over 270 events since launching on March 17th.
While we can’t bring people into The Tank, we have expanded outwards - into your living rooms, and with our recently launched project Mañanaland, into augmented reality and onto the streets of all 5 boroughs of Manhattan.
As we near the end of 2020 and enter our 8th month of closure due to the pandemic, we are asking you to make a donation of any size to help Fill the Tank.
Because The Tank is also an engine. We are committed to driving forward, generating opportunities for artists to make and create and dream up brand new things. This commitment is requiring us to be more resilient and adaptable than ever before – but with your help, we can Fill The Tank for today and for the future.
