Food Family Faith has raised $22,789 out of their goal of $10,000
How To Help
$30 is the average cost to serve a dinner to 30 teenagers on a weeknight. We combine donated supplies, small purchases and lots of love to feed them well.
$75 will send a teen in need to winter camp in February. More teens find faith at camp than through anything elese we do.
Hungry for Food. 1 in 5 American Teenagers is at risk of going hungry everyday. The Door has served over 135,000 hot meals to any child in need at no cost. In the past year we have given away over $1,000,000 in groceries to hungry kids and families through The Door in Bellwood, in North East and our partner ministries like The Reapers Food Ministry in Altoona.
Hungry for Family. The Door provides a safe home-like environment for kids everyday. If your from a good home, it is a wonderful supportive extra in your life. If your home is disfunctional we are often the closest family a teenager will have. We are their family dinner, their family vaction (camp) and their family Christmas. We continue that hope with our residential homes for young adults who need launching to life. Lionheart & Lioness provide mentoring in a family setting that some disadvantaged or homeless young adults need for life.
Hungry for Faith. Since 1998 over 1,000 teenagers have found faith in Jesus through our many Camps and programs. Many found a connecting church youth group to help feed their soul. Many found the help only God can give to heal their hearts and minds from childhood trauma. Some have grown so much they are on staff. All of our current staff were once kids in our program.
