About the Campaign
With your support for Front Steps Housing and Services, you'll have the opportunity to inspire and transform lives that are impacted by the cycle of homelessness. In Cuyahoga County, Ohio, about 19,000 people have experienced repeated homelessness within a three year span. This includes the elderly and over 2200 public school aged children in Cleveland. Without a safe and secure place to call home, people have a tough time getting back into the workforce and accessing support services for their mental health and physical disabilities.
In Cuyahoga County, 18% of the population lives in poverty. More than half of these individuals are chronically homeless, stifled by disabilities, mental illness, and unemployment. To tackle the issue of homelessness, our aim is to help rebuild people and communities one by one. Front Steps Housing and Services is working to close the gap by providing safe, affordable, permanent housing for adults and children, and workforce training, in addition to reconnecting families and providing behavioral health services. To date, they’ve helped over 3,500 individuals and families get back on their feet.
We, the students of the Second Online Leadership Class of Next Level Trainings, are working diligently to support Front Steps Housing and Services. Our goal is to make certain that individuals and families are able to create a sustainable life for themselves and their families. Our leadership class is committed to raising $50,000 over the next 19 days, to help with the purchase of basic housewares, toiletries, upgraded technology, and the purchase of a 12-15 passenger van. The van will be used to transport disabled residents to and from healthcare appointments and the grocery store.
Your contribution will support us in igniting freedom, power, and positive life changes through housing and life management services, in order to disrupt the cycle of homelessness in Cuyahoga County, Ohio.
