Helping Families Navigate Through Their Child's Journey With Cancer!
About Us
Along with imposing heavy economic burdens on a family, cancer takes a family through a roller coaster ride of emotions. ENF is devised for families by families who have been there. With your help, we hope to make this devastating journey a little less difficult so that a family can concentrate on the immediate needs of their child.
The Emilio Nares Foundation assists low-income patient families with much needed programs that include: Free transportation services to and from medical facilities for children (Ride with Emilio); free healthy, hospital-approved snacks for patients and siblings (Emilio's Snack Bags); free & easy access to community resource services (Family Resource Center inside Rady Childrens Hospital); free guided knitting and sewing circles for patients and families (Creating for Hope); specialty shirts with easy access to medication, facilitating cancer treatment for children (Emilio's Loving Tabs™ Shirts); and bereavement assistance for families during the last days of their child's life (End of Life Child and Family Care).
ENF is entirely funded from contributions. We are a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization. All donations to the Emilio Nares Foundation are tax deductible.
