Film Festival Entry Fee $50

If you make a great film you want the world to see it, right?!?! That's why we help students submit their best work to film festivals and other competitions . . . and we even pay the entry fee since many of our students can't afford it. Did you know that Youth Beat's students have won multiple awards from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences? . . . yes! the same organization that awards the Emmys!

Teaching Artist for a Class $100

Did you know that Youth Beat's teachers are all accomplished filmmakers, photographers and animation artists? Yep. They bring real world expertise and loads of talent to the classroom . . . and sometimes, they even invite advanced students to work on their own projects. Your gift will help make this phenomenal mentorship opportunity possible for East Oakland kids!

Intern Stipend $500

Youth Beat's most advanced students work alongside our Teaching Artists on fee-for-service, Youth Beat PRO projects. They help make professional-quality videos for businesses, nonprofits and others. As one of our students noted: "You never hear of someone so young doing such BIG things!" Interns get a $500 per semester stipend . . . a $1,000 gift covers a whole year!

Apprentice Stipend $4,000

Youth Beat's Pre-Apprenticeship Program provides training and mentoring to recent high school grads who don't have college plans. A $4,000 gift will cover one 6 month Pre-Apprenticeship Stipend . . . meaning that your gift will ensure an aspiring filmmaker can focus on their training instead of having to work at a low-paying, dead-end job. What a gift!
