Creating a Legacy of Change

We recently asked our community what change means to them, and the response was overwhelming. Change represents something different for each and every individual - from a life of good health, to physicians awareness, but most importantly, hope.

Since 1991, Cure HHT has been at the forefront of driving meaningful change for HHT patients and their families. The goal was simple: create change. Change how readily this disease is recognized, change the support and resources available to families, change access to truly expert care.

After more than 30 years of work, the biggest change yet is finally within reach: a cure. And while we’re proud to be the cornerstone of this vibrant HHT community, our supporters are our heartbeat! The change we’ve created to date – and the transformation ahead – is not possible without your donations. When we come together as a community to fight for the change we want to see, we are all changemakers. Become an HHT Changemaker today!

Join us this June and become an HHT Changemaker! It has always been us, the HHT Community, that drives the change we want to see.

Did you know? June 23rd is Global HHT Awareness Day. This date wasn’t chosen at random – it honors the life of Grace Nolan, who sadly passed away at the young age of 9 from complications of HHT.

Grace suddenly became ill on a family vacation with severe nosebleeds and coughing up blood. Grace went to the hospital eight times, but she and her family wouldn’t hear the term “HHT” until the ninth visit. Grace’s father, Mike, called Cure HHT for guidance. The family lived in Ireland, so the Foundation arranged a visit with our HHT Center in London. Tragically, Grace lost her life one week before that appointment when a pulmonary AVM ruptured. Grace’s birthday is June 23rd.

Since then, her family has championed for HHT awareness and research.
Never underestimate the power of sharing your story and your voice! Thank you to The Grace Nolan Foundation for generously agreeing to match the first $25,000 raised on June 23rd. We are happy to report that we met this match!

Please give generously if you can.

When David and his family received an HHT diagnosis in 2022, he quickly went to work to make a difference. David teamed up with Cure HHT and has played an important leadership role in our advocacy efforts, including organizing a Capitol Hill Day in May and developing proactive advocacy strategies to help us increase federal funding for our centers. “My goal is to put Cure HHT out of business. With their leadership, we are going to cure this disease. And then we will turn our attention to helping the amazing Cure HHT team find another line of work!” - David Vaughn
