EMERGENCY FOOD DISTRIBUTION $20
This is an emergency food distribution program. We become aware of families on a regular basis who are in crisis and struggling to simply feed their children. What a blessing it is to have resources in hand to stop hunger on the same day we see the need. Your generous donation will provide much-needed relief to a mother or grandmother who simply wants to feed the family.
WATER FILTER DISTRIBUTION $50
People of Peru Project has placed hundreds of water filters in the homes of people with no access to affordable, clean water. We instruct the families on the proper care and usage of this 4-5 year filter and follow up at 2 weeks and 8 weeks to assure that they are receiving the full benefit of this amazing gift of clean water.
DENTAL WORK $50
People of Peru Project has a free, modern, full-time, dental facility, specifically for impoverished patients, who have no access to dental care. Your $50 sponsorship covers the complete cost for one patient, no matter what they need, for complete oral health. You can relieve someone's suffering for less than an exam in the US. If you have ever suffered from tooth pain, you will relate to the importance of this program.
EDUCATION IS THE KEY $100
Your $100 donation, fuels our Educational Scholarship Fund that currently supports the dreams of children in our care, including those who have continued, in the university scholarship program. Education is absolutely the key to breaking the chains of poverty and People of Peru Project is proud of our growing number of working professionals.
SURGERY CENTER BRINGS HOPE $500
Your generous donation of $500 or more will move us toward the completion of our State of the Art Surgery Center and Medical Professional Building. This is an investment into the lives of thousands of people, who will be impacted by the life changing surgeries, available to them for the first time. What an amazing opportunity to help those who suffer.
$20 a Month Army (General Fund) $20
If People of Peru Project had a small army of People who would donate $20 or more a month we would never have to focus on the day-to-day operations of the organization. We could put all of our energy into the families or children in crises, Would you be a monthly supporter to in addition to those special needs that we share with you from time to time?
About the Campaign
People of Peru Project is providing aid to the region of Peru that is located at the headwaters of the Amazon River.
Iquitos is a city of 750,000 people surrounded by thousands of square miles of jungle. Poverty, disease, parasites, malnutrition, rampant tooth decay, and premature death are but a few of the challenges of this region.
In any developing country, the children suffer the most. Some are left alone to survive on the streets or in the surrounding jungle with no parent or family unit to provide care.
People of Peru Project has identified three areas of concentrated need.
1. Crisis intervention for abused and abandoned Children.
2. Medical and dental services for individuals without access to care.
3. Education, being the key to breaking the chains of poverty.
