About Kim's Ministry

Kim Wyatt serves in Raleigh, North Carolina through a welcoming ministry to immigrants and refugees. The Wyatts have been Cooperative Baptist Fellowship Field Personnel since 1996. After serving among refugees and immigrants in Thailand and Canada for nearly a decade, in 2014 they were asked to return to their home state of North Carolina in partnership with CBF North Carolina to continue their service of hospitality ministries there.

Kim and Marc are the Co-Founders of Welcome House Raleigh and Welcome Network which partners with local refugee agencies, churches, and community organizations to welcome immigrants and refugees that now call North Carolina home.

Welcome House Raleigh is a temporary reception home providing hospitality for refugees and immigrants who are resettled in the area and do not have a place to live upon arrival. Welcome House provides a safe home, settlement assistance and bridges into the community.

The main goal at Welcome House Raleigh is to share the love of God in Christ Jesus through ministries of hospitality and friendship. Your generosity in support of the Wyatts and their mission programs transforms lives. Your general gifts empower, equip and encourage communities and individuals through the power of Christian hospitality.

Welcome House is able to provide a safe welcoming home for newly arrived refugees because of the generosity of donors who want to make a real welcome possible for those who have had to flee their homelands.

Financial support helps to provide:

  • Safe, clean, and welcoming temporary housing
  • Fresh, healthy culturally appropriate food
  • Community orientation including English as a Second Language
