About the Campaign
Team I Hate Cancer is dedicated to raising money and awareness for cancer causes, including mental health therapy, research, and patient-centered care. Since 2006, our Team has raised more than $400,000 for our charity partners.
This year we are raising the bar.
On June 21, 2019, we will begin our 6-day, 625-mile bike ride from Philadelphia, PA to South Bristol, ME. We affectionately call it The Lobster Roll. We will be raising money and awareness along the way. While we seek to show the power of the mind to overcome challenges, we also see the outdoors and the experience as mental therapy, a way to empower and be inspired by the outdoors!
Our goal is to raise $50,000 for Flatwater Foundation, providing mental health support for families coping with a cancer diagnosis. One diagnosis causes waves in all directions, and Flatwater Foundation works to bring families back to the calm serenity of “flat water” so they can focus on overcoming cancer.
To date, Team I Hate Cancer has provided access to hundreds of hours of therapy for families in need, coping with cancer. With the efforts of the Lobster Roll and the support of all donors, the team looks to help more families get the care they need and to position Team I Hate Cancer to help spread the mission of Flatwater into new markets, touching more lives.
