Millions of Americans lack access to quality health care

Every year, millions of Americans face severe barriers to comprehensive specialty care. One (1) in 3 Americans in poverty rely on safety net clinics as their only source of primary care with little to no access to specialty care. 

We connect safety net clinics with expert volunteer physicians for medical advice, education, and mentorship, enabling over 2.5 million clinic patients to have rapid access to high-quality specialty health care in hours rather than months. 

Leveraging telehealth technology, we provided over 600 hours of mentorship and nearly 8,000 medical consultations in 2022. Our safety net clinic providers report that 76% of previously needed referrals were not necessary, saving clinic providers and their patients time avoiding close to $11M in costs.

With over 200 expert physicians covering over 60 medical specialties, MAVEN Project spans over 20 states and Puerto Rico...and we can do more!!
