Event Details
Race Across Michigan is an annual fundraising event organized by the University of Michigan Running Club (MRun) that benefits the Special Olympics. As part of the fundraiser, MRun embarks on a 190-mile relay with up to 70 runners across the state of Michigan. Runners start in Detroit, joining athletes from the Special Olympics in Ann Arbor for lunch. About 24 hours after the first runners begin in the streets of Detroit, we finish our journey on the shores of Lake Michigan in South Haven. This year marks the 16th year of RAM, and we are so excited to continue raising money for the Special Olympics! Beyond the relay and in the months leading up to the big event, MRunners play an active part in fundraising and volunteering at practices with Area 20 athletes. Getting to know the athletes and seeing the direct effects of our fundraising has been incredibly rewarding, and we are so grateful to support this special cause once again.
