About the Campaign

West County Reads is a longtime partner to WCCUSD in providing literacy resources and free books! They are launching this campaign to quickly raise funds to get books into the hands of Stege students! Thank you for your support!


Just days before the school year, Stege Elementary students and families were notified that their school building would be closed for the year due to environmental hazards. As they pivot and adjust to relocation, they are in need of resources to support their learning, development and sense of self confidence and community. In particular, they do not have access to age appropriate books or a library.
