Row for the Cure San Diego
October 8, 2022
Welcome to Row for the Cure San Diego 2022, presented by the Crew Classic Foundation. We’re thrilled to be back this year for the 21st Anniversary of such an important event as we bring the rowing community back to Mission Bay, for a day of fun on the water while remembering and honoring those near and dear to us.
DAMPER - Donating A Mammogram Per Every Rower. Imagine 1,000 rowers raising $150 each to support the cost of a mammogram for 1,000 individuals - with a single goal to save lives! We are proud to partner with three organizations this year in support of making an impact to our local community and toward research:
The first Row for the Cure regatta was hosted by UC San Diego Women’s Crew in 2001 shortly after losing an alumna, Lori Ann Uptegrove, and a Triton family member, Joyce Snyder, to breast cancer. The event course takes place throughout Mission Bay, with the event expo located in North Ski Beach across from Crown Point Shores.
We can’t wait to see you on October 8 as we ROW FOR THE CURE!
Participating is easy as 1, 2, 3!
1. Register for the regatta
Registration opens September 1
2. Fundraise
3. Come down to Mission Bay on October 8 for a day of celebration and remembrance

How Your Donation Makes A Difference
Now, more than ever, the San Diego community needs our help. All donations will be used to provide grants for qualified programs in the San Diego area which benefit cancer patients and survivors, and toward research. We support:
Community health organizations which support local cancer patients and their families with programs such as peer-to-peer counseling, financial assistance, patient navigation and transportation
Cutting-edge cancer research that will lead to new, more effective treatment, ultimately toward reducing cancer-related deaths and finding a cure
