How To Help
About the Campaign
Steve Linthicum retired from being a California Community College educator after decades of service. He lives in a senior gated community and wanted to generously give back to the San Diego Community. Given the COVID-19 situation and his age (70), he thought rather than volunteer to distributed meals or prepare meals, the best effort is to use some of his expertise (he taught IT and cybersecurity), fixing and securing computers for his community residents and ask that compensation be in the form of their donating funds to Meals-on-Wheels.
Here is a statement from one of his fellow residents that have used his services in the past and in turn, donated to Meals on Wheels, "Steven Linthicum is amazing at fixing computer and network problems. My computer was unresponsive and showed only what I assumed was the blue screen of death. I thought it was broken forever and I had lost all my data. However, Steve was able to fix my computer and make it fully operational again. I was so appreciative of Steve's help, and I was happy to make a donation to Meals on Wheels as he requested."
