Help Me Reclaim My Life from Pain

After graduating high school, I dreamed of becoming a U.S. Navy Deep Sea Diver. In 1985, that dream became a reality when I graduated from Navy Dive School. My first assignment was as an experimental diver, researching dive duration and breathing gas profiles. Six years later, I discovered Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) and completed EOD school in 1993.

As an EOD Technician, I handled high explosives and took on challenging missions, diving into oceans and performing parachute and helicopter insertions to locate and disarm dangerous devices. My teams deployed worldwide, neutralizing threats like IEDs on the battlefield, radiological and nuclear devices, and sea mines.

Over my career, I was honored to serve on protective details for Presidents Clinton and Bush, Vice President Gore, and multiple Secretaries of State. With over 1,000 parachute jumps and 1,500 dives, I served across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and the U.S., dedicating 26 years to my country, including time stationed overseas.

Living with Chronic Pain

In 2014, I had spinal fusion surgery at L4-L5-S1. While the surgery initially helped, it began to deteriorate in 2018. By 2020, the pain became chronic and severe, reaching a constant 10 out of 10. My lower back injury, determined to be service-connected, now interferes with daily life. Tasks like yard work or lifting mildly heavy items cause severe pain, numbness, and radiation down my left leg. I’ve had to give up activities I once loved, including hockey, yoga, parachuting, and golfing.

My Hope for Healing

Despite the pain, I remain hopeful. I’m seeking regenerative stem cell treatment to expand and regenerate the tissue at L3 in my spine. I believe this treatment could significantly reduce my pain, restore my mobility, and allow me to reclaim the parts of life that pain has taken from me.

How You Can Help

Throughout my life, I’ve dedicated myself to serving others, from the depths of the ocean to the skies above, and everywhere in between. Now, I’m asking for your help. This treatment is my best chance at regaining a better quality of life, free from constant pain.

Your support means the world to me—not just as a veteran, but as a father, a husband, and someone who dreams of getting back to the things I love. Together, we can make this possible.

Thank you for believing in me and helping me take this next step toward healing.
