Support Sean Racki Heal has raised $10,750 out of their goal of $25,000
My name is Sean Racki. I’m one of six children, and my life took a dramatic turn at 18 when my mother tragically passed away in a car accident. In the wake of her loss, I chose to enlist in the military, dedicating myself to a career in the medical field.
I began my journey in 1987, completing basic training at Ft. Bliss, Texas, followed by Advanced Medical Training at Ft. Sam Houston, and ultimately serving at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri, during Operation Desert Storm. Those years were grueling—long hours, little sleep, and the weight of processing troops heading to Iraq. Despite the challenges, I earned accolades like Soldier of the Month and completed both Sergeant’s school and my associate’s degree while on active duty.
After active duty, I continued to serve in the Army Reserves, joining medical units like the 301st and 345th hospitals. I rose to the rank of E-5 Sergeant and eventually became a 1st Lieutenant after completing Officer Candidate School. Alongside my military service, I became a registered nurse, specializing in ICU and ER care—a role that allowed me to continue saving lives.
My life has always been about service—whether as a soldier, a nurse, or a martial arts instructor. I achieved black belts in Taekwondo, Hapkido, Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, and Judo, even earning three world titles. I opened a martial arts school to teach kids and adults, helping them build confidence and become champions in life.
But years of military service, martial arts training, and nursing have taken a toll on my body. I now suffer from severe osteoarthritis in both hips, making simple tasks—like walking, tying my shoes, or bending down—agonizing. My back pain, caused by degenerative disc disease, compounds the struggle. Once an active father of four, I now feel like a prisoner in my own body, unable to fully engage in the activities I love or provide the support my family deserves.
I’m determined to reclaim my life. With your help, I can undergo stem cell treatment through CPI—a cutting-edge therapy that offers hope for freedom from pain and restored mobility. This treatment would allow me to walk without pain, return to martial arts, and, most importantly, be the father, partner, and community member my loved ones need.
My dream is to not only heal but also to rejoin the Army as a Military Medical Officer, continuing my lifelong mission to serve.
Your support will help me take the next step on this journey. Please consider donating to help me regain my strength and continue making a difference in the lives of others.
