We want all children in Oakland to attend schools that are academically enriching and full of joy, allowing students to pursue their dreams. We believe that our classrooms should be abundant with supplies and academic resources, and that our schools should be well-staffed to meet students’ academic and social emotional needs.

The Equity Fund, a project of the Equity Allies for OUSD, was launched in 2018. In each year since then, we have raised and distributed between $10,000-$20,000 to 10-15 schools facing the greatest stresses. Donations from individuals and Parent-Teacher-School Associations have made this possible, and we are deeply grateful for your support.

Starting in 2023, we committed to a three year grant cycle. Ten of Oakland's most-stressed elementary schools will receive $20,000 in unrestricted funds for the next three years. This is not something we could have done without your generosity. Thank you for being a part of showing up for OUSD students across our city.
