Your gift at a $500 level will subsidize 20 free hours of rehearsal space for a Tank artist in our new Attic rehearsal room. About the Campaign
The Tank is a nonprofit home for Emerging Artists in New York City! We support 3,000 artists annually working in the performing arts. Offering free and subsidized rehearsal space is a key way in which The Tank engages in this radical redistribution of risk, advancing our mission by opening our doors to the development of new work by a range of artists who are early in their careers and engaged in the creation of innovative, multidisciplinary work.
The Attic at The Tank, our new space, will include 5 rehearsal studios located on the 6th floor of The Tank’s current location. The largest is a 1,150 square foot dance studio with sprung floors, windows, mirrors, a small kitchen, no pillars, and 10’ ceilings.
We are raising $50,000 to launch these new spaces and help support our additional rent costs for the rest of 2023. This is our most ambitious fundraising goal since we moved to our space - we're taking a leap to support artists in this crucial way, and we hope you can take a leap with us! Your gift will help subsidize free space for 3,000 artists, and provide low cost space to hundreds more!
