Together We Care!

The Supreme Court has overturned Roe v. Wade, stripping away our constitutional right to abortion after nearly 50 years of upholding our fundamental freedom. This ruling moves abortion laws to the purview of each state, meaning that abortion is immediately no longer accessible in Alabama. Alabama and Mississippi have trigger laws that allow the courts to swiftly remove the protections set forth by Roe. Our policy and legal teams are watching closely as Mississippi will likely move to further restrict abortion in the coming days or weeks. While Georgia does not have a trigger law, it does have its own six-week ban that we expect to see enforced in the next month or so.

We’re devastated, we’re furious — and we’re fighting back.

We know the harm this ruling will cause: people will have to flee their states to seek abortion. This is the unfortunate reality that we are facing. But we are prepared, and the entire Planned Parenthood system is collaborating to ensure that patients get the care they need, even if they must travel thousands of miles to access it.  Right now, patient education is our top priority. In all three states, our doors are still open and we will continue to keep the community informed about their options for care. Those who need additional support will be connected to our Patient Navigator.

Your support is critical.

Planned Parenthood Southeast will never back down. This fight is far from over! With your support, we will double down on our commitment to equitable health care access. We will keep fighting with everything we've got to ensure all people have access to the health care and education they need to control their bodies, their lives, and their futures — no matter where they live.
