About the Campaign

The Transform Artist Residency seeks to develop artists as whole people, not simply their artistic acumen. We hope to see technically proficient artists enter into the professional realms whose lives are guided by the philosophies of Jesus - love God, and love others as yourself. This is what sets us apart from all other residencies. We are seeking to raise $27,000 to offset some of what the resident needs to raise. This year we have moved our program to Dallas, Texas. There are two young women artists that will be joining us starting October 2024. Our society is not structured to foster the flourishing of artists. Because of the constant pressures of daily life, the artist is often devoid of 2 essential resources required for creation - time and space.

TIME
The arts are commonly under-valued and are therefore under-paid leaving the artist with little time outside of a day job to pursue their craft. The Transform Residency provides artists with time by training them to raise their own patronage, but also through champions of the arts like you. Because of your patronage through this page, the resident can dedicate necessary time towards pursuing their craft.

SPACE
Physical space is a rare commodity in a financial sense (especially in cities), but the more important space for artists is a communal space. The journey of the artist is lonely, even for those raised in a Christian setting who feel disconnected from a church that has historically discouraged engagement with the arts. The Transform Residency has found housing in a great apartment in Winnetka, a part of Oak Cliff, in Dallas. It is a great price and includes utilities. We do have to provide all the furniture/kitchen items
so you can give to this if you like.

We have moved the program to Dallas because we have found great partnerships with local organizations, churches, artists, patrons, and a team of Transform staff on the ground.
We will be connecting the residents with a great community of artists in Dallas through Art House Dallas, local churches with a commitment to the arts, a newly developed Advisory Board for the Residency and many other artists throughout Dallas and Fort Worth.

Use these secure methods to donate to Transform Artist Residency via Christos Collective, a 501(c)(3) non-profit. By donating, you will be supporting our community of artists and their work toward our mission!
