Wicahpi Olowan Music Program

Join us in making a meaningful impact in the Pine Ridge community by contributing to First Peoples Fund's newest initiative, the Wicahpi Olowan Music Program. Together, we can help foster a vibrant musical community that uplifts spirits and empowers individuals to explore their creative potential. Your participation in the #GiveNative campaign can make a world of difference.

The First Peoples Fund (FPF) - Wicahpi Olowan (WO) Music Program, located in Kyle, South Dakota, on the Pine Ridge Reservation, was established in partnership with the Playing For Change Foundation. Wicahpi Olowan, which means "star songs" in Lakota, is a dynamic initiative dedicated to supporting Indigenous musicians, performers, and artists. Through a wide range of offerings such as free workshops, concerts, jam sessions, and more, aspiring and established musicians, singers, songwriters, and producers can thrive. These activities span diverse musical genres, including hip-hop, rock, folk, and traditional Oglala Lakota music. The program is based at the Oglala Lakota Artspace (OLA), an innovative art space that fosters creativity and cultural preservation within the reservation.

Celebrate and uplift Indigenous talent through the WO Music Program!
