Becoming a Captain

You're the Leader of the Team!

Children, teens, adults and Veterans are all invited to become a Captain!

Each team consists of one Captain and a team of Angels (able bodied athletes who assist their Captain by pushing and pulling the racing equipment).

A Captain is anyone with a disability! We support individuals with various disabilities needing different levels of support. Captains who are ambulatory, we have a number of opportunities for you to run or walk. Captains who need the support of a race chair, we have a wide range of fitting options based on your needs.

Captains can choose to participate with Angels of their choosing. Or, mTT will pair Captains with their Angels.

Families and caregivers, we love to have you as part of the team as well! Be an Angel or Volunteer on race day!

Participation in a mTT event as a Captain is 100% cost free although any fundraising or donations are greatly appreciated. We provide the equipment, host regular training events, sponsor the entry fee and provide a team uniform for all Captains.

Becoming an Angel

With myTEAM TRIUMPH, Angels have the honor of getting their Captain to the finish line!  

We field multiple teams of able bodied and challenged athletes in the greatest endurance events around. 

Each team is composed of a team of Angels and one Captain. Angels take turns guiding their Captain to the finish line.  

Why a team?  

1. We want our Captains and Angels to safely cross the finish line. 

2. It’s our mission to build lasting, authentic relationships between people of all abilities. So get a couple of your friends together and commit to making a difference!

If you don’t have others to run with, no worries! You will have the chance to choose your distance and pace during registration. We will do our best to match you up with others of similar ability.

Becoming a Volunteer

We need your support

Is your heart moved to help those with others? As a volunteer, you will provide the selfless support that our teams need to Triumph! Opportunities include..

Taking pictures and video
Working the family hospitality tent
Promoting myTEAM TRIUMPH during expos
Accommodating the needs of Captains and Angels
Supporting the teams at the start and finish line
Assisting teams in transitions or relay exchanges
Transportation of Captains and Angels
Setting up and breaking down equipment

Let's race! Prior to race day, you'll receive info regarding the race day plan. This will provide you all the logistical information you need!  Once you arrive, check in with our staff. They'll give you your volunteer shirt and orient you on your volunteer duties
