The Heart of the School Awards is a special night to recognize exceptional leaders who have built exemplary school cultures through their innovation, execution, and leadership. 

This festive evening, free for all principals, highlights 10 exceptional principals as Heart of the School Award finalists, with five being honored as this year's awardees. Awardees receive $2,500 to support needs at their schools as they see fit. Honorees and Awardees are selected from hundreds of community nominations.

Event Details

Doors Open and Pre-Reception: 5:30PM

Program Begins: 6:15PM

The program will run for approximately 90 minutes. 

The event closes with a strolling supper, drinks, and reception.

The Heart of the Schools is a year-round program that celebrates and supports Baltimore City Public School leaders for their exemplary innovation, execution, and leadership. In addition to celebrating Baltimore's principals through events, grants from the Heart of the School Fund support school enhancement projects such as new technology, musical instruments, trips, professional development and more.
