Join us to walk along the historic Beach View Farm (aka Fakkema Farm on North Whidbey Island). The walk provides plenty of great scenic views, including the working farm, mature forest, Swantown Lake, Salish Sea and, weather permitting, the Olympic Mountains. Bring your binoculars for a chance to see birds and other wildlife. Location: Oak Harbor Level of Difficulty: Moderate – 2+ miles of walking on trail and uneven surfaces, with slight elevation changes and with sections of uneven terrain. Walking sticks are encouraged. Hike details: 1. Approximately two+ miles of walking - 2 hrs 2. Sturdy closed-toed shoes and appropriate clothing for weather condition 3. Walking sticks, binoculars, and cameras welcome 4. Bring water and sunscreen 5.
