FAQs
1. What is Race to Clear the Shelters?
To celebrate the national Clear the Shelters Month organized by NBC Universal, Pets In Need launched the first Race to Clear the Shelters fundraiser in 2023 with a goal is to raise funds and awareness for our shelter aniamals.
2. What is the fundraising commitment?
When you register for the half marathon, 10k, or 5k, your registration is free with a commitment to fundraise. You have until the end of Clear the Shelters Month (this year it ends September 10!) If you do not reach your fundraising goal of $150 for the half marathon and $100 for the 5k/10k, the card on file will be charged for the remaining amount as a tax-deductible donation to Pets In Need.
3. Can I register without fundraising?
When you register for the half marathon, 10k, or 5k, you can make a tax-deductible donation in the amount of the fundraising commitment to your fundraising page. Or you can register directly through the Beer City website, however the fee will not support Pets In Need.
4. I don't want to run. Can I still participate?
