In 2025—a year of immense importance for protecting and expanding sexual and reproductive healthcare—Planned Parenthood Southeast proudly presents A Night For Our Rights Gala. This event honors our ongoing movement for reproductive rights, celebrates the more than 15,000 patients who receive quality and affordable care from us, and recognizes the many women and birthing people who depend on us to keep our doors open, serve our community, and advocate for bodily autonomy.
This year’s Gala promises an elevated, elegant celebration of our movement for reproductive rights and freedoms. You will hear from a powerful keynote speaker, enjoy special guest appearances from across Georgia and the Southeast, experience live music by GSO Jazz!, and be inspired by powerful stories that honor our ongoing mission to provide care— no matter what.
This year, we are proud to announce our inaugural Honorary Co-Chairs for the Gala:
Jason J. Carter
Jason Carter is the Chairman of the Carter Center Board of Trustees and a partner at the law firm of Bondurant, Mixson & Elmore, LLP in Atlanta, Georgia, where he represents clients in high stakes business litigation. As the grandson of the Carter Center’s founders, Jason has been involved with the Center’s programs for 20 years, working to advance peace and health across the globe. Prior to becoming Chairman of the Board, he oversaw the Center’s strategic planning and participated in the Center’s programs in Liberia, Egypt, Myanmar and the West Bank/Gaza. Aside from the Center, he combines a successful litigation practice with a strong commitment to public service. From 2010-2015 he served in the Georgia State Senate. In 2014, Jason was the Democratic Nominee for Governor of Georgia, receiving more than 1.1 million votes in a race that garnered substantial national attention. He previously served for more than two years in the United States Peace Corps in South Africa where he worked in schools to assist with their transition out of Apartheid.
Jason has been named to Georgia Trend’s list of the 100 Most Influential Georgians, and has consistently been recognized as a “Super Lawyer” in Atlanta Magazine, a listing of the top attorneys in Georgia. Jason has received numerous other awards for his legal work and community service, including the Anti-Defamation League’s Stuart Eizenstat Award.
Nancy Flake Johnson
Nancy Flake Johnson has served as President and CEO of the Urban League of Greater Atlanta since 2008. As an advocate, educator, coach, collaborator, strategist, and champion for closing the racial wealth gap, Nancy has expanded the League, bringing life-changing opportunities to thousands of individuals, families, and small businesses every year. Her programs focus on workforce development, entrepreneurship, youth and young adult education and employment, housing and wealth building, and social and racial justice. The League also operates a Financial Empowerment & Emergency Relief Center, which helps families in crisis and provides personalized programming to help clients achieve financial stability and advancement. Nancy has been widely honored for her contributions, most recently being named one of the 100 Most Influential Georgians for 2024.
Jen Jordan
Jen Jordan is often described as a lawyer’s lawyer. Her consistent and tireless advocacy for the rights of others has defined her legal career spanning over two decades, as well as her years in the Georgia State Senate, where she earned a reputation as one of the smartest and hardest-working senators at the Capitol, respected by members of both parties. Although she was ultimately unsuccessful in her 2022 bid for Attorney General as the Democratic Party nominee, she received more votes than any other Democratic candidate for statewide constitutional office, including the Democratic gubernatorial candidate. Jen practices law at The Summerville Firm in Atlanta alongside some of the smartest lawyers in Georgia. She also produces the Georgia political podcast VoteHer with Mara Davis, a well-known Atlanta radio personality, and Teri Anulewicz, a state representative from Cobb County, and contributes legal and political commentary to CNN.

Lovette Twyman Russell is a senior consultant with Coxe Curry & Associates, where she provides strategic guidance to nonprofits in board development, volunteer engagement, and fundraising.
