In this highly interactive two-part workshop, Black artists will have a unique opportunity to learn how to create an archive of their works. Archivist Steven G. Fullwood will present case studies on Black artists’ legacies and offer practical advice about organizing and maintaining archival materials. Attendees will be in conversation with the facilitator and other artists who have vested interest in building and sustaining their personal and professional archives.

This two-part series includes the October 27 workshop and a followup feedback session on November 10. Given the interactive participatory nature of the workshop, this workshop will not be recorded; live participation via required.

Participants are encouraged to also sign up for the September 29 Career Documentation workshop and/or have a basic understanding of archiving and career documentation before attending this hands-on workshop. Additional workshops related to archiving, led by other facilitators, will take place through February 2022.
