About the Dinner
The inaugural Arion Press Literary Dinner will gather authors and artists from across the Bay Area to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Press and the public unveiling of Arion's new home at Fort Mason.
The Dinner will present a dynamic program designed around Arion's Fables of Aesop publication featuring modern morals by beloved comic author Daniel Handler, a sculptural box by iconic artist Kiki Smith, and prints from 15 Arion artists who each illustrated one fable.
Please join us for a special evening with a cocktail reception spotlighting the Aesop artists in attendance, a seated dinner with a light program emceed by Daniel Handler, and the first public viewing of Arion's new atelier including the pressroom, bindery, and foundry.
