FUND-A-NEED ATHLETE RECOVERY FUND

A Special Olympics Michigan recent audit revealed an expense total of $828,698 for program supplies and equipment. In a year that traditional play and activity has been interrupted as well as fundraising, we recognize the need to provide program supplies and equipment over the next 12-18 months.

Competitions are some of the most important and motivating events for the athletes of SOMI. In order to provide competition in the safest way, regional tournaments with in-person competition will be used to compete Statewide, with scores that will be utilized for virtual games.  Support at this level helps bring back competition sooner and more safely.

Social distancing is important to the health and safety of our athletes. Help provide practice fields, that are able to provide social distancing, for athletes to return to when it is safe to do so.

We know that to provide safe sport, our athletes need protective equipment including masks, sanitizers, thermometers. Your support at this level will help our athletes do what they love while being safe.

Your generous donation towards the Athlete Recovery Fund will be used for any of the above needs.

Thank you for supporting Special Olympics Michigan and Athletes Like Audrey!
