Join us Saturday, September 10th
at The University of Findlay, Koehler Center
Announcing our first CPS Flock Walk will be held outside around the UF campus. This is a family-friendly event with other activities! Join us and walk with your family, friends and neighbors to support LOCAL cancer patients!
The walk will be kicked off with a lap from local community survivors. The event will include walking, inflatables, yard games and more! There will be flamingo yard signs available for purchase in honor or in memory of a loved one that will line the walkway and can be collected at the end. Flamingos can also be decorated before the event if picked up. We would love to see your support! If you have any questions, please email development@cancerpatientservices.org.
Why Flamingos?
Known for their bright colors and funny stance, flamingos are very special birds. For instance, when a flamingo gets sick the rest of the flock gathers around to protect and care for that bird. Providing compassionate support is exactly what CPS provides to cancer patients in Hancock County through their journey. For this reason, we have unofficially adopted the flamingo as our mascot.
We're excited to announce our very first Flock Walk! It takes a village, or should we say flock, to support someone on their cancer journey and CPS is always here for support.
The walk will be kicked off with a lap from some survivors in our community. The event will include walking, inflatables, yard games, and more! There will be flamingo yard signs available to purchase in honor or in memory of a loved one that will line the walkway and can be collected at the end.
