From the beginning of EFCST's journey, our mission has remained the same. Excellence. Integrity. Service. A world without epilepsy. Lives free from seizures. We will always strive to answer the call of need.

EFCST's journey began 30 years ago when EFCST's CEO, Sindi Rosales' 11-year-old daughter Jessica, was diagnosed with a rare type of epilepsy and had to have one-half of her brain removed to save her life. As the Rosales family adjusted to their new "normal" life and began to recover from the shock of this life-changing experience, Sindi, armed with little more than ferocious passion, dedication, and unyielding determination, focused on building an organization that would "be there for the next mom." Over the past decades, thousands of moms, dads, brothers, sisters, caregivers, and community members have benefited from EFCST services. In January of 2024, Jessica will celebrate her 30^th "Brain Day," the anniversary of her life-saving surgery. Inspired by Jessica's courage and Sindi's grit and determination, EFCST has grown into one of the network's strongest and most respected affiliates to be the voice for more than 160,000 people with epilepsy in Central & South Texas.

The Cheers For A Cause Gala is a night of fun and merriment. Still, most importantly, it is a night when our friends and supporters come together with a common goal of raising as much MONEY as possible to support children and adults with epilepsy. The EFCST Staff, Board, and Gala Committee have worked very hard to ensure that YOU, our generous supporters, have a wonderful experience but never forget the true purpose of the Gala.

EFCST is delighted and so proud to celebrate 30 years of service to the Central and South Texas community. During the past three decades, EFCST has demonstrated the ability to pivot, persevere, and demonstrate resilience in responding to changing social and economic environments by leveraging supporters and always focusing on putting the client's needs first. We are most grateful for the support we have enjoyed throughout our 30-year journey.
