EFCST’s journey began 30 years ago when a family faced the unimaginable—a rare epilepsy diagnosis that required life-saving brain surgery for their 11-year-old daughter. What started as a personal battle soon became a powerful movement to ensure that no family would have to navigate epilepsy alone. Armed with passion, determination, and a deep commitment to others, this effort evolved into EFCST—an organization that has since provided thousands of families with critical services, support, and hope. Today, EFCST stands as one of the most respected affiliates in the nation, advocating for more than 160,000 people living with epilepsy in Central & South Texas.
