Creative Commons’ Open House for an Open Future
Join us for an afternoon of conversation and creativity during SXSW in Austin, TX.
This is a moment like no other for Creative Commons. Over the last 25 years, CC licenses have enabled access to and the sharing of billions of digital works.
We have a lot to celebrate! At the same time, we have some challenges ahead as we fight against an increasingly enclosed internet, that in many ways, is empowered by the privatization of AI. What is the role of CC licenses in 2025 and beyond? What do we need from organizations like CC to protect access to knowledge over the next 25 years? What do the commons look like in an age of AI?
We can't wait to hear your thoughts!
Drop in or hang with us for the day to chat about the future of the commons and CC's response to sharing in the age of AI.
Thank you to our sponsor, the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation for making this event possible.
