What does MaineGeneral’s Day of Hope support?

In previous years, Day of Hope dollars have supported patient needs, transportation, equipment upgrades and more. This year, the funds raised will help support a critical project - the expansion of the Harold Alfond Center for Cancer Care.

Construction is underway on a $36 million expansion that will allow the Cancer Center to meet the growing needs of our cancer community. The project will feature 12 new exam rooms, 10 new infusion bays, a dedicated wing to support survivorship and holistic care. It will also include the expansion of our pharmacy, laboratory and research and genetics spaces.
