Event Information

STATEMENT (As of 2/14/2025): The Epilepsy Foundation Los Angeles team, along with our board of directors, shares our deep sadness over the devastation caused by the January 2025 fires, which affected so many in the greater Los Angeles area. Family, friends, colleagues, classmates, and countless members of our own epilepsy community have been impacted, and the journey to recovery is just beginning. In consideration of this, and out of great care and respect for everyone affected, as an organization we have made the difficult decision to postpone the Epilepsy Walk Los Angeles until Fall 2025. While we won’t be gathering for the Epilepsy Walk until then, please know that the Epilepsy Foundation Los Angeles remains your partner in your epilepsy journey. From summer camps and support groups to education, training, and specialist referrals, we are committed to supporting and connecting with those impacted by epilepsy. We encourage you to reach out for assistance or to get involved in any of our programs.

Have some questions? Scroll down to the bottom of the page for our "Frequently Asked" Questions. To learn more and seek assistance, please reach us at epilepsylosangeles.org, 310-670-2870 or help@epilepsylosangeles.org

Epilepsy Walk Los Angeles is a fun-filled community event – with a serious cause – that gives everyone an opportunity to share their story of epilepsy, learn more about epilepsy, and connect with others affected by epilepsy — all while raising funds.

Everyone is needed in this fight. By walking and sharing, you inspire others to do the same. As our numbers grow, even more people will take notice so we can raise even more funding for epilepsy care and research.

This will be an amazing one-of-a-kind experience – We invite you to walk with us in-person or walk your way at home, whenever and wherever you'd like. Help us make a difference and better the lives of people with epilepsy.

Information about the Walk is provided below. More information will be updated from now until the event. We will be sending emails to all registrants. In the meantime, don’t hesitate to contact us at 310.670.2870 or 800.564.0445 or Walk@EpilepsyLosAngeles.org.

About Epilepsy Foundation Los Angeles

efla logoEpilepsy Foundation Los Angeles is a champion and voice for individuals and families living with epilepsy. We enhance lives by offering programs that foster a supportive community, increasing access to specialty treatment and resources, and generating greater awareness and understanding of epilepsy. We envision a future in which all individuals with epilepsy live in a supportive, welcoming community; have access to appropriate resources and care to minimize or eliminate seizures; and are empowered to achieve improved quality of life.

Who We Serve

We serve individuals and families affected by epilepsy/seizure disorders. Our primary areas of service include the Counties of Los Angeles (10.14 million (3.1 million), San Bernardino (2.1 million) and Ventura (0.85 million). The estimated combined population of our territory is over 16 million. At least 1.2% of the population has epilepsy/seizure disorders. Thus, in the three Counties we serve, almost 160,000 people have epilepsy. However, many more are significantly impacted by epilepsy in their daily lives when you include family members, caregivers, and friends in the total.

What We Do

We are here for you, as we have been for more than 64 years. As your local Epilepsy Foundation, the Epilepsy Foundation Los Angeles is the only non-profit, 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated solely to serving people affected by epilepsy in this entire region. Our tax ID is 85-4002671.
