About the Event
This fall, the Ed Fund is proud to present Oakland Grown: Student Art & Music Festival—a new family-friendly event to raise critical funds for our schools while celebrating The Town’s talented students.
We’re partnering with OUSD’s Visual and Performing Arts Office (VAPA) to produce this joy-filled celebration featuring student performances and visual arts displays, art activities–all culminating in a special hometown concert by Oakland native and internationally acclaimed R&B artist Goapele along with musical artist and actor D Smoke.
Your ticket purchase for Oakland Grown helps support programs like the A to Z Fund which provides grants to educators for music and art programs, among many other underfunded opportunities, from A to Z.
A ticket to Oakland Grown also gives you access to explore OMCA’s collections of art, history, and natural science.
Student art and musical performances–including a special hometown concert by Oakland native and internationally acclaimed R&B artist Goapele along with musical artist and actor D Smoke–will take place in the recently renovated gardens of the Oakland Museum. Don't forget to check out the indoor exhibitions.
