Of the Ether

Of the Ether

March 24 & 25 • 7:00 pm

Multicultural Arts Center

This multimedia dance experience will feature choreography by Meg Anderson (Company Director) and Haley Day (Company member) with an original sound score and number of mobile light fixture mounts created by MASARY Studios, a transdisciplinary artist collective reconsidering environments through site-specific installations using sound, light, interactivity, and performance. All elements of the 40-minute full-length work are centered around exploring three avenues of the idea of the ether: the ether of outer space; the ether of the daily world around us; and the ether within our bodies.

These two Boston-based organizations have partnered together before for Frame Recursion (2021) and Refractive Choreographies (2020), which The Boston Globe deemed as “an intriguing marriage of movement, music, video, and artificial intelligence…”

Please note that there will bright lights and dry ice fog during the performance. Requests for accomondations or needs can be sent to meg@urbanitydance.org.

Please see here for parking and directions for the Multicultural Arts Center.

This program is supported in part by a grant from Cambridge Arts, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.
