United Way's Master Series in Philanthropic Leadership
About the Event
Rick Weinheimer, a local leadership coach, will present United Way's Master Series in Philanthropic Leadership.
Networking begins at 5 p.m., with the class being from 5:30-6:30 p.m. the second Tuesday of the month, except for December, which will include graduation. Light snacks and drinks will be served.
Completion of 4 out of 6 classes will include a Leadership Masterclass on Philanthropy Certificate.
The class is free, but a donation of $50 a class or $300 for the entire series would be appreciated to help United Way of Bartholomew County defray the cost of making the class available to everyone.
Here are the details for each class.
5-6:30 p.m. February 13: On a Mission Every Day: Discovering, creating, and leading from your mission.
5-6:30 p.m. April 9: Being Positive in a Negative World: Recognizing the effects of negativity around us, changing our thinking (neuroplasticity,) adopting strategies for positivity.
5-6:30 p.m. June 11: Leading from an Authentic Place: Establishing our core beliefs, leading-working-living from those beliefs.
5-6:30 p.m. August 13: Not Everyone Communicates the Way that I Do: Examining our “default” communication styles, becoming aware of the way communication is a main factor in leadership, leading by using communication most effectively.
5-6:30 p.m. October 8 : Exercising my Leadership, Presenting to Groups both big and small: Learning and practicing the five key steps of public speaking: Gaining the necessary confidence to speak effectively in front of groups of all sizes.
11 a.m.- 1 p.m. December 10: Showing Compassion as I Influence Others Moving Forward: Developing and harnessing the power of compassion and empathy to lead and serve others.
