Political Terminology, Labels,
and What They Mean to Us
About the Event
Political terms play a significant role in framing our public discourse, but they can also contribute to divisions and labels among us. What impact does the language we use in political discussions have on fostering unity or division? This conversation seeks to unpack the meanings and consequences of the political terminology we encounter daily.
Purpose:
The goal of this discussion is to explore various perspectives on how political language shapes our interactions and perceptions across different political groups, examining both the unifying and divisive effects of these terms.
Questions for Discussion:

Please do your best to arrive at the beginning of the meeting – once we are in breakout rooms and the conversations have started, the meeting doors close to new arrivals. The breakout rooms open (and the doors close) approximately 15 minutes after the hour.
